Houses of Worship: How can we help?
Houses of Worship, both modern and traditional, have various criteria which make engineering inside them exceptionally challenging. This is why, when the time comes for a new audio or video system, for the Church to trust a specialist with any important work. It is not simply that the buildings are notoriously difficult, both acoustically and architecturally, but the varying array of Diocesan protocol to sift through – the need for faculty guidance or listed building consent – and of course, the relevant differences in working with charitable organisations.
Hans Kolberg UK, with their fully-trained experts – many of whom have spent years learning the relevant specialist aspects to their job – are perfectly placed to assist you and your church with their major and minor audio-visual works.
Churchwardens have an extremely difficult job – they are the Priest’s ‘right-hand man’ – the trusted parties who are responsible for ensuring the Church and all its relevant systems are fully operational – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If needed, they’ll work flawlessly. Similarly, Verger’s are also given a similarly challenging task – they must not only prepare and organise services, but also manage the vast array of constantly changing factors which large churches inadvertently have. However, in some churches, it is the responsibility of the Priest-in-charge to ensure all systems and properties are fully-useable, alongside their more obvious tasks – such as planning services, writing sermons, or directing outreach and mission efforts. However, it may simply be left to the Director of Music, Fabric Manager, or Architect… Whatever role you have, you need a partner that you can trust.
For us, working with churches is not simply installing a sound reinforcement system – it’s ensuring that whatever we provide you with is not only sympathetic to the building, but also innovative, cost-effective and easy to use. There’s a myriad of companies offering ‘sound systems’ in Worship environments, but we are one of the few who use acoustic consultants, dedicated installation engineers, and a wide range of specialist staff to advise on matters such as listed building compliance, faculties, Ecclesiastical Insurance recommendations and parish guidelines. We have a diverse workforce who have designed audio & video systems for churches, chapels, abbeys and cathedrals all around the country – to perfection – so what’s stopping you from getting in touch?
