Our Markets: Concerts & Festivals

The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 was the first widely promoted and heavily attended rock festival, attracting an estimated 55,000 total attendees with up to 90,000 people present at the event’s peak at midnight on Sunday. Since then, many things have changed in the festival and live music industries, such as licensing laws, noise control, environmental legislation, safety and load standards and a wealth of other protocol, inspired to better festivals and their surroundings – but not the passion and creativity which goes into making a festival so successful.

We know what going to a music festival means to people – it’s about freedom, style and creativity – many of our engineers spent their time off revelling in the crowd themselves – they’re seasoned, enthusiastic and fantastic at their job. It does help that we have the latest equipment at our disposal – and of course, the expert knowledge of industry practises to do our job well.
